ahsanmohd I put in a pre-order for holofone in September for Nov 5th availability. I got an email from Akyumen on Nov 5th that the phone is available. I logged in to check the status of my order and it is showing as "processing" since then. I check every day to see if it is shipped but until today (Nov 30th) it shows as processing.
It has been 25 days now... I don't know when they are going to ship my order. I have sent multiple emails so far. They don't have a phone number listed. I am emailing them regularly on info@akyumen.com and using their contact portal thru their website. I have not received a single reply so far.
It is so sad to deal with a company like this. 11-30-2016 02:51 PM Like 0 Scienceguy Labs's Avatar
If you are still waiting, you might want to contact them through facebook. I've spoken to them a couple of times there. They are pretty quick to respond there. Good luck. 01-15-2017 04:49 PM Like 1 ahsanmohd's Avatar

When I didn't receive any communication about shipping, I got worried and started emailing them, by using their contact form on their akyumen.com website and also sending them emails to info@akyumen.com. After many days their Vice President Global Sales and Marketing Todd Coffee responded on Dec 1st by apologizing that info@akyumen.com was not being monitored. He also said that our devices will be shipped by late December. Now it is Jan 17th and still there is no communication from them. I send an email and there is no response. I used their website contact form and there is no response.
It is so sad to see that a company that is promising such a big product cannot even handle proper communication. At this point I am disappointed by Akyumen. Can these big media companies like windowscentral contact them and hold them accountable for their promises? 01-17-2017 03:26 PM Like 0 Scienceguy Labs's Avatar
"We have been delayed by circumstances beyond our control. Safety concerns with the explosion of our competitor's lithium ion battery's.
This has caused our devices to also be certified. With all worldwide lithium ion battery's been tested, the certification is taking longer than originally expected.
Akyumen will refund your money, if you would like to cancel your order."
So, the batteries are the delay, it seems. Hope this helps. 01-17-2017 11:39 PM Like 2 Scienceguy Labs's Avatar

Ha ha I've kinda lost confidence in their abilities to get this phone released. Hoping for the best, though. My bigger concern is update capabilities. Are they gonna release this thing and then abandon it? I'm just waiting to see one in the wild, preferably a YouTube review. :D 01-24-2017 07:35 PM Like 3 Lectrosoul's Avatar

The akyumen devices seem like vaporware to me, not one in depth high quality video of the device in action, as i said on one of the akyumen youtube videos i smell something fishy, either that or they really need to hire a PR company. 02-02-2017 08:40 AM Like 1 Paul Arnold2's Avatar
Akyumen is getting somewhat better. They check their emails and facebook messages almost every like 5 hours, so now they respond to any questions you might have.
Also, the devices from the website are now "sold out" as they were a pre-order device, these were called version 1.
Soon akyumen will release a "version 2" which will then be available to the public & version 1 will no be able to be bought.
If you guys have any questions, private message me as I have been in contact with akyumen a lot for the past week. 04-05-2017 05:47 PM Like 2 ahsanmohd's Avatar
I really wish this product would see the light of the day. It was announced more than 9 months ago. I don't know what happened afterwards. I couldn't wait any longer. Akyumen should have updated their website with the right updates, but they did not. I still don't know what is happening with the company and the product.
I really liked the concept of 7 inch full Windows phablet and am hoping someday such a product will be available. 04-24-2017 07:09 PM Like 1 Chris_Kez's Avatar
Also wondering, while the phone sounds awesome does anyone actually have this phone? 06-18-2017 05:16 PM Like 0 Scienceguy Labs's Avatar

You'll get it eventually. It took a few weeks for mine if I remember correctly. I don't think any of these have officially been produced. I think, with Version 1, the one we were all waiting for, they were just going for a money grab so that they could actually build the phone. Version 1 would never be shipped, and those of us who preordered (and didn't get a refund) would eventually just get Version 2, which would be the first produced version of the phone. It's almost as if they were attempting their own, messed up version of a Kickstarter. Ha ha I doubt they're even considering the dual boot option anymore, but who really knows. I just got so tired of the sold out notifications and shipping delays. Their business model was/is just really bad. I was really excited about it for a while, though. But, seeing how they run things, I am fairly confident that support for the device would have been abysmal. 06-18-2017 07:55 PM Like 1
