You are 100% correct, which is why I think so many people I talk to are too lazy to use it.
Bosses keep asking, "did you log your interaction with the customer on salesforce yet??"
It's purely for documenting purposes to check on status of communicating regarding a customer/product, so sometimes employees/users lose incentive to keep up with using it.
There is nothing proactive about it. "Proactive" = more aggressive means to obtain a sale, rather than just log info.
I think plenty of customers will think it's cool and captivating to receive such videos. BUT, I'm concerned many others might consider it...obnoxious, kind of like an in-your-face-spam-pop-up. You know what I mean?
