I went there and checked it out. Most likely some shmuck trying to sound important. Oh, and the other poster was right, most hackers do it for ego, and hacking eCarFly's homepage is something my 7 year old daughter could do. So where's the ego boost?

billy,left mess yest,she(think she said her name was Donna)called back today and told me someone attacked website. She said a pr was coming this afternoon explaining it.

I agree, it would be pathetically stupid to PR that your interent-based sales company was hacked, esp. right now. And why just hack the home page? Why not wreck the whole site or a better hack like a Denial of Service or something that looked like the server was really crushed, or put up a truly nasty home page or something saying how you stole the credit info of all the recent buyers ... hacks CAN be damaging.
I really don't blieve it was hacked at all.
