Agree. $20 billion/$500 share in the next year is worth plenty, probably has the same present value as stringing it along a decade independently. And the proceeds are derisked.
You could always invest the proceeds in the acquirer if you want to continue the ride.
For others, investing several millions of AVXL proceeds in high dividend stocks and retiring would be perfectly satisfactory.
Of course, it is a very high class problem to have, we should be so lucky to get a $20 billion buyout offer....would have to have alz approval before this is possible.
