Thanks Pineapple for the only sensible pricing post.
A round $6000 a year is only $500 a month. That is a VERY reasonable price for preventing alz. It saves the govt (who is paying the bill) hundreds of billions over the cost of nursing homes and current treatment. It is well WORTH the money.
No neo-marxism or cost plus pricing. The price should be set according to the benefits derived. Plus if it is approved for MS, Parkinsons, Rett, it is also a very reasonable price for the BENEFITS derived.
People saying it should cost only $1 a day are out of their minds, Bernie Sanders insane.
Until the patent runs out, AVXL shareholders ought to reap the benefits fully.
All the low price analyses here are making a huge mistake as it will take time to penetrate the market, you dont get all these sales immediately. So sales in year one mightbe $1 billion, year 2 $3 billion. Wont get much market cap out of that unless a nice profit margin is part of the deal.
I am risking huge capital, I want a huge return. $5OO a month is a very fair price for Medicare to pay given the benefits derived and the risks taken by shareholders and management that this could all FAIL.
