Donnie Broos, I am sure that The CEO will take your recommendation under advisement. NOT!

If the Governor of Rhode Island calls and extends an invitation to meet with him, you go. (By the way, that is a period at the end of that sentence)

Now, I agree about the process of government and the budgetary system, and I too have had to deal with city and county budgets but if the Governor tells the state senate that he wants a certain law passed, it normally passes. That's like a state highway department telling the federal government that it will not follow a federally mandated requirement about its highway system. Down the road, that's not going to go over well when it comes time to ask the federal government for funds to help repair your road system.

Not only that but this is the Governor of MICHIGAN. Do you know where the big 3 US car manufacturers are located? That would be Detroit, MICHIGAN. The Governor makes doing Busness in Detroit nice for those manufacturers.

I am not sure but if it were me, I would be double checking my calender to make sure I wasn't running late for that meeting.

I disagree. Sure govt contracts may take a bit of time but getting a govt contract is huge and will be long term. It's only getting a foot in the door and rest will be easy and govt spend big bucks. Look at all the stocks when they announce they got a govt contract no matter how small they run huge. IMO SB is on the right track.

"Michigan is working on legislation to have all young drivers protected by a distracted driving solution." We'll have our foot in the door for MORE than just government contracts. Sure the government may be slow and let's not forget the FMS safe driving app won in the competition in Asia. No reason to think it won't do well here. It may become the LAW for young drivers. I'll admit this isn't my favorite piece of news we're expecting for next week but I still think it could be a huge opportunity.

AND I should point out that the Governor wants ONCI to help build a WEBSITE about distracted driving. I'm just guessing here but I would think the FMS app would be on that site.

Zero control does not mean zero influence. You don't get to be governor by being a nobody. Furthermore, if the news of only State Patrol cars were PR'd, would that alone not be a huge feather in the cap. I would say that would carry lots of weight in the decision making of other potential buyers. Also, there are more than just state patrol cars.
