I'm one of the folks who did not start V for high TG's, although I qualified for the MARINE indication - my TGs are all over the place every time I get them measured, but diet in the 48 hrs before blood is drawn can have a huge effect on TG levels, overwhelms whatever your "normal" TG levels might be while taking V. Try eating sweet corn a day or so before your blood test - you will be shocked at how high your TGs shoot up! I take V for it's anti-inflammatory properties, and that data is not (much) effected by temporary changes in diet, and V has given me fantastic results there, many of them known CVD risk factors - wonder if ralphey ever measures those biomarkers? I think he'd have a different view of V's "efficacy" if he did - it's not about lowering TGs.
