We have all sorts of weird statues around- no one cares- we even have one of those naked Trumpty ones.
But that is just a smoke screen for the underlying issue which is White Nationalism and the fact that they feel marginalized by the minorities in this country and that is Trump's base. And he refuses to brand those people as wrong in their thought process.
Add in that he is clearly a narcissist and sadly that is what the Republicans chose to nominate as president.
You read the other boards here. It was never about the statues when they voted for him in the first place and it still isn't.
As for the statues, you live in MA. In NC the republicans control both houses in the state legislature and I don't see them voting to remove the 2 statues dedicated to confederates that are in the Capitol.
