I did have top-secret clearance back in the 90s. I had a summer college internship at the Naval Under Sea Warfare Center Detachment (New London, CT). Has since closed and consolidated to Newport, RI.

I worked in the publications Department, proofing technical journals from scientists, engineers. Many of whom were foreign born, who couldn't spell the word journal if they needed to.
