You are way over thinking it. The stock is news driven and no meaningful news equals a slow and steady drop. No news for an extended period of time, suggests problems, specifically with the Alzheimer study, which is the most popular with investors. Day dreaming about unlikely future gains, is not a strategy for dealing with this stock.
At least they could have chipped in for sponsorship even a small one. It keeps their name out there for all to see and also gives them exposure for those who do not know about the company. The entire lets just ignore the AAIC by them was odd and was a bed decision.
If Missling is selling shares through LPC at these levels then that is not good. That would translate we are heading further down before we see 5 again. If we are on the verge of starting 3 trials within 4 months why dilute here? A 10 year old would tell you to wait until the trIal starts to dilute. With Missling's financial background it is even more telling that things are not moving along if in fact dilution is happening now. If dilution is happening now, then trials will not commence to well into 2018.
