We will have to disagree on that.

If we were to show slides with hard data on all subjects that gets closer to insider info.

An argument can be made that since things are subject to change prior to the end of the trial, intermediate comments are not definitive and therefore not material. It is only the final results of the trial that are material.

Recent court cases have loosened up the insider trading rules.

If insider i.e. material information is inadvertently released, the company has an obligation to PR it in 24 hrs IIRC. There is no legal penalty if there is no trading on it by insiders.
