I think we're past the buyout stage with Corning……

Corning must have been paying attention to all those patents filed within CRUCIBLE between Apple and LQMT……and gotten here before Li stepped in.

Just my two cents.

I am sure this cross Corning's mind before Li scooped up LQMT in pennies for the dollar.

Question is how can Corning detach exclusivity from Apple for LQMT acquisition. Working for Apple for free will not fare well to their shareholder.

BMG market dominance needs a lot more than just the formulation and a great Brand name.
