#123948 RE: Eagle1947 #123924

Someone please shoot me down on all these points with some evidence rather than a shout out against a skeptical series of theories.

Alright, here goes my attempt.

1)"Corning seems to be in a much better position to produce things than our yet to open Lake Forest facility."

I don't have "evidence" to refute your statement, but what evidence do you have to substantiate it? While Corning is a much larger company with deeper resources: (a) what experience does Corning have in the field of manufacturing BMG products?; (b) assuming Apple would want BMG products using LQMT or Eontec formulations, what experience does Corning have with those formulations?; (c) does Corning have the specialized equipment for BMG manufacturing (not BMG research)? Assuming for the moment that Corning is a new comer to BMG manufacturing and/or doesn't have experience with the Eontec/LQMT formulations, then if I were Apple, I'd do with Li/Eontec/LQMT rather than Corning. I do not believe that Corning's experience in traditional non-metallic glass translates to BMG. Apple can provide the resources/money Li/Eontec/LQMT lack. (Hopefully, such financing would have a better outcome than what happened with GTAT.)

2) "I continue to hold onto the notion that LQMT will not profit from its Apple relationship."

It is too early to make such a statement. Apple is notoriously secretive. We won't know whether LQMT has a manufacturing contract with Apple until LQMT announces a contract with an unnamed party in the field of consumer electronics.

Even if LQMT doesn't get a manufacturing contract with Apple, LQMT would derive indirect benefits from Apple utilizing BMG. Such usage would clearly demonstrate to the world that BMG is a commercially viable material. Many companies in many fields would start to re-evaluate whether they should be using BMG components.

3) "Further , all that money Apple was going to invest this summer. Does not seem LQMT is going to benefit from that effort at all ?"

Once more I ask you, what evidence do you provide to substantiate your assertion. Apple has only announced where a very small percentage of the money is going to be invested. I'm not saying that we are going to get any of it, but until the funds run out, we may be in contention. In short, it is too early to conclude that LQMT won't get any of the funds.
