1979 280ZX 2+2, 5-Speed, 6-inline, Silver (No Tee-Tops)
Yeah. I bought a used one from a friend at my old job. Great car to speed on I-95 in the left hand lane. Sucked in the snow. I had to put weights on the floor of the back seats. I went through a clutch learning to drive it after 3 months. Had to take a bus home from Atlantic City, NJ and later get a ride from someone going to the shore the following weekend to pick it up. Sucked in rush hour, stop-and-go traffic on I-95. Gas tank sprung a leak on I-95 one morning. I saw a metal object bouncing on the highway that went right under my car. Next thing I know, an Indian guy pulls along side of me, rolls down his window, and says "gas leaking badly". I pull over and there a coin-slot type hole in my gas tank. Keeps dribbling out until fire truck shows up and plugs it with putty. Got about 3 years out of it but was ready for something new. Car had just under 199,000 miles. I was looking forward to hitting 200,000 but it wasn't meant to be.
