A FS would make it harder to uplist.... If an OS is too small and a stock is illiquid, thats when you want to do a forward split... and/or if you want your stock to look more attractive to different groups of investors.
Some people wont touch a stock at $100 per shares, but if they do a forward split and bring the price much lower, more people start buying it... even tho a split does not actually change your percentage ownership. Its all just psychological
