The beryllium free formulation is needed for medical use to avoid toxicity. Doesn't mean the original formulation doesn't have use in other applications. There may be cost issues and other considerations that favor the original recipe.

Could be or beryllium may be in Li's new low cost alloys. Pulled data from LM website today....or could be nothing.

They still sell Beryllium BMG.
