if they reverted in delaware (which they did) they should also have applied for the tax id at the same time. it's standard procedure. its likely done already and they just haven't got the confirmation from the irs by snail mail yet.
i haven't done a name reversion but i did get a tax id for a new corp last year and i had the receipt in a week.
i wouldn't process sales or execute any material events until it is done but it shouldn't stop them from issuing pr's or updates, they could always just say hello on facebook or god forbid...tweet something
