Nobody was ever thrilled with the size or length of Ellbury's contract----the argument about it with you was that baseball scouts and talent evaluators priced it there---same as Choo when it happened----not me...

as far as speed goes--I gave you numerous articles from Fangraphs about speed not necessarily being a killer after 30 with plenty of players who were great exceptions to your "rule"---you chose to not acknowledge or ignore them...

Ellsbury certainly has not worked out----magnified by that very contract---you were right to this point...

I'm just glad we didn't kick Didi to the curb when you said he sucked-period...

next we'll see what happens if/when Bird ever plays---and when Rutherford becomes a solid major-leaguer----I'll be sure to remind you :-)
