I stayed with win 7...I wasn't about to be a beta rabbit for win 10. I'll wait till they don't support 7 anymore before I upgrade.

Oh, you have so many 'creative' juices to look forward to when the new update does hit. First off they're semi hiding the restore feature and when you do access it, it doesn't totally restore. You can help youself a little by creating a restore point right now before the update. I'm still working on removing parts of the updates and restoring my custom settings. One thing you won't be able to do is remove Cortana, you can disable it, but not prevent it from running in the background (encumbering your system and causing a slowdown) and sending info to MSFT.

I'm fiddling with a couple of sites one of which follows, a quick glance gives you an idea what to expect. Apparently if you write code you can delete Cortana on 10 pro, I'm not seeing a solution yet with the time I'm willing to spend for the rest of us "renters".
