Say you have 1,000 shares at $3 before the split. Account value $3,000

After the split you will have your original 1,000 + (10,000 more, 10 shares for every 1 share) so you have 11,000 shares at $0.30 or a $3,300 account value.

What am I missing?

Essentially, the VNGE shareholders will receive approximately ten new shares of the Company's common stock at no cost for every one share of VNGE common stock currently owned by them.
