BTS, Hmmm, I wonder about the LT or our Brokerages doing an automatic withholding. They don't on Stock Trades etc. We have to do that settle-up process at year end tax time. Why would they treat this as an immediate more strict or severe situation? Also, Lawsuit Settlements are not ruled as Income by the IRS and are therefore non-taxable. Opinions are welcome.

There are state taxes as well. 3.75% in Illinois.
