Could you elaborate more on "participation value" of the mentioned trust?
I am confused after reading your post.

As far as I understand "participation" in the prospectus is to describe the investors who buy the rmbs and participate in this investment tool to earn steady income. They do not own the mortgage.

The mortgage is under the structure using Trust A and Trust B (depositor and guarantor) classified as SPE under legal isolation to protect against
creditors in case there is a bankruptcy filing and protect the investors of the security.

So all in all WMI families are still owning thousands and thousands of mortgages. The residue value of WMI estate should be much more than the participation value of 25%.

Please correct me for learning purpose.
