It costs roughly 15 cents for the bag unless there's some huge discount with volume that brings it down to 10 cents. It has value to a producer of filled petri plates dependent upon the benefit it brings for agar preservation and shelf life. Some agars will benefit with no refrigeration and others won't.

Stock price is dependent upon public notice. As for what you posted earlier stating that the stock price doesn't matter to the CEO, my understanding from others is that he has repeatedly said that the company is not run based upon share price, not that the share price does not matter
