Maybe Bird is injury prone---maybe he isn't...had a serious shoulder issue that cost him a year---looked to be over that as he was mashing the ball in Spring Training----then he fouls a ball off his foot, gets a bone bruise, and goes 6-60, which I believe can be attributed to his foot injury....

he will be back, better than ever, and fit nicely in this getting younger potent lineup for years to come :-)

Acevado is being fast tracked now----started at high A this year and struggled for some reason----breezed thru AA at Trenton--and now is at AAA Scranton...
