For people that do not drive or own a car (i.e., older people, city dwellers, etc.) may now use cars that they previously did not (currently using public transit, buses, etc.).



Public transportation is currently much cheaper than Uber and will probably stay that way IMO. A good portion of those who use PT are low income living near the transit routes. There may be some PTers who opt for Uber but maybe only by necessity. I'm not convinced that those who currently use PT will switch in droves to Uber type services.
