#43946 RE: Dutch1 #43945

Like myself, many people buy pennies to possibly make the "Big Score," not tiny profits! I have a feeling that one of my P-Stocks will make it to Dollar-land, though that is not a certainty by any means! But for 5-6 hundred bucks each stock, many are worth holding onto IMO! Where else can a person, who has limited financial resources, have a chance to make a bundle? Yeh, there is usually the long wait time, the many nervous moments, a wife or Husband telling you how foolish you are, the many rotten deals they got involved in, but then, with certain stocks, whether they be the Techies, or the Pharmaceuticals, there will be one or more, that have enough to withstand the negative pressures.. and make you and I a good bundle in time! Then, as I posted before, I bought into a promising Pharma' P-Stock, only to sell it early due to financial problems, only to check the Company years later when it rose to the low/mid Twenties somewhere! I showed my Ex. where it stood at that time, but she had nothing to say! Though there are no guarantees, holding through the NATURALLY guaranteed rough times, does not necessarily mean the stock is going to tumble into disillusionment! If the stock has that "Something special," It will withstand all assaults on it from within or from outside!

As Dutch pointed out, the PEIX S-3 offering timing is interesting.

This part may typical but I noticed it in the use of proceeds section:

"and you will not have the opportunity, as part of your investment decision, to assess whether the proceeds are being used appropriately. It is possible that the proceeds will be invested in a way that does not yield a favorable, or any, return for Pacific Ethanol."

Maybe typical verbiage, but I read a few other companies S-3 and didn't see similar. Reading tea leaves...
