If the media catches on the story it will have a negative effect on Cisco share price and market capital . They better hurry and settle and pay couple of billion instead of losing 5 % share price which equates to 8 billion of the market cap . Especially if article comes out and says a major part of Cisco operation is based on Chanbon patents . That will definitely shake up shareholder confidence . All in my opinion

I disagree that there is nothing to be gained by waiting. Mega companies are not in a rush to pay a penny stock billions. They can easily outlast them financially.
