You, I and all have learned a ton on this board from Dr. Azomite and the others with extensive backgrounds in gardening and farming. Some have moved on, but I review their historical records left with us.

You have done wonders with your acre. I have 7800 square feet, but the north end is lost to a steep hill leading down to a highway. It is covered mostly with ground cover and some butterfly plants.

In our various approaches we practice permaculture according the the land which we have to utilize. My big enjoyment has been filling up my property with bee-attracting flowers, herbs, and berry plants.

Reclaiming the land follows closely behind. My east property was just a few flowers and a rose bush in 2009. Mowing the crab grass on my and my neighbor's adjoining property required me to wear a mask to prevent breathing dust. Most of the grass is gone leaving the following by last year.
