Squirt DNA and dionized water into your laptop?
That's how you think DNA storage is done? Not in a chip format?
Hmmmm

Lab-on-a-chip, gene-microarrays, microfluidics on electronic circuit boards are for real. Don't know about APDN's supposed chip, but all the genetics testing companies use DNA microchips. The microarrays have thousands of sequences, you add the sample, wash it off and anything that sticks lights up under fluorescence.

APDN might be developing a detection chip, a single one that can ID thousands of single sequences, or tens of millions of multiple sequence combinations in a sample.

BTW, DNA is a polymer but not a protein. Much easier to transcribe and copy DNA than proteins.

Cannon, glad to see you scouting us from above. Like a damn drone:)

What'd you do if offered some discounted warrants on the NEWS of ahhh, DoD or major pharma picking us up?

That's a little over the top on optimism.

I'm leaning with Speed and Otis and On-In=Two now on this reeking of a company struggling for capital (with others, not leaving anybody out). Also, to show you I'm bipolar, siding with Parkmart, abewforme and cheekie on setting this up equivalent to an HELOC.

Where's the equity there, except for my asset?

Any insight vs. incite is appreciated. I'll set up a case of malt liquor, unlock the pool cue rack, set the juke box on LOUD, and spin up Born to Be Wild, then turn out the lights, and let you, Rocket and Fred get into a bottle fight.

And to everybody else PEACE. Note of observation. You're always armed when wearing a ½-pound brass buckle on the end of 42-inch belt. AND, you can't qualify that as a concealed weapon.

Till your belly clouds it over.

kinda missed you...kinda. Not immediately in the mood for a bottlefight in the dark, have to warm up a bit first. Was ready in february when you said you would be back.

"The DNA storage also has a half-life of 500 years, even in harsh conditions. The half-life of DNA -- just as with radioactive material -- determines its rate of decay.

Today's most popular storage mediums, magnetic tape, hard disk drives, optical discs and NAND flash storage all have limited lifespans, which max out anywhere from five years to several decades."

Sounds pretty durable to me...even in sunlight. ;-)
