I remember flying into Logan on Thanksgiving Eve. We were circling over Providence RI for about an hour.

I was out of smokes, the plane was out of beer and a baby on the plane was out of formula.

I asked the stewardess if we could make a pit stop and I'd run off the plane and get provisions.

We were comped on an Eastern Airlines flight to Puerto Rico. First Class and we sat at a table with our friends and ate all the way there!

I remember being scared to fly after Eastern had that bird strike crash while taking off from Boston.
