So who buys these? People that may have never gone there but now see an opportunity with the deal. People who were planning to go anyway and now have the right incentive and maybe they'll love it. People who love it and want to go back but were hedging on the cost. People who buy and may never go. It's paid sim time, it's not free or discounted food/drink as any other restaurant would do. Restaurants don't make their money on themes, they make it on food/beverage. So all they are "discounting" is something that doesn't really cost them anything more anyway. And as I said, some people may never use it, which is then really just free money. The people that do show up are going to spend more money on food and drinks. And may come back. I have 3 friends who have gone there and all have loved it and will go back. I would hate to live in your world, Bill. It seems so bleak.

And unless your neighborhood bar has a cover charge, it probably never made $1 having people walk in and not buy any food or drink. And if it has a cover charge, you're being taken every time you walk in.
