eamonnshute, I don't think the software would be part of the HP ProtectTools suite if it's an add-on to their other models. ICBW but all of ProtectTools for TPMs is free with all HP TPMs...I am not aware of any pay-for upgrade to ProtectTools. Without researching it, this sounds like FDE software-based encrytion by a third party. Software-based FDE is far inferior to Seagate's hardware-based solution. I don't know, perhaps I am misinterpreting this. If it was part of ProtectTools, it would be part of a free download.
