That might do it. I still think your broker could loan them out and you would never know.

Schwab has actually offered a small premium to borrow my AUPH shares. Not high enough yet but I will certainly load them out when the number is right.

Place a high limit sell order! In this case your share won't be loaned out to be shorted! Make sure the limit sell order placed is high enough so it doesn't trigger if there's a bounce. Lol
