You're Welcome! Anytime.
I also found Tom Veale's site helpful
I should hope so! Tom is 'The GURU' after all.
I think that I'd like to invest half of my stock in QCOM
Given your $ allocation, you could buy 45 shares @ today's close. I must say however that it would be a very 'lean' AIM program that would be expensive from a commission standpoint (PC=1667). If you want to reduce risk, I'd suggest an Exchange Traded Fund for the total $3333 instead. I'm assuming here that you've decided against LD-AIM.
QCOM is one of my LD-AIM holdings. I've had 1 Sell @ 36.40, 18% higher than my initial purchase price. That was exactly one month after that initial Buy. I've been waiting since June 19th for another transaction to trigger. Got close early last month, but will need to be patient (key to successful AIM-ing BTW.)
lately the prices are on the high side (compared to the 52 week high/low), and I think I'll wait until Sep/Oct comes around and see the situation.
Actually QCOM is showing relatively oversold right now per the Williams %R. But it might be OK to wait (they were up 2.5% today). I must say that you should set an entry point somehow, so that opportunity doesn't pass you by.
