I like your assessment but not all hacking occurs from a front end bases and i wasnt referring to what you stated. There are different scenerios and your scenerio is perfectly on point. Thats purely front end.

1. Backdoor hacking. This is not done when a hacker tries to access websites or company domains through a log in page but behind the scenes using code. Sfor does not protect against that and can be bypassed.

2. Human error. User clicks on an email, inserts a thumb drive and accidentally uploads that virus, malware or ransom where on a PC. Sfor does not protect against that.

3. Tools such as vulnerability checks to make sure all PC's are up to date and servers as well to make sure all ports that should be blocked are. Port monitoring services check. Much much more.

4. Firewall hacking. Breaking down a companys firewall is a main source of data breach.

There are many more i just dont want to keep typing. Like i said before, your scenerio is perfectly on point. But software and hardware protection is more that what sfor is doing. Sfor only has one method of peotection. Which from my point of view a very very small piece of the puzzle.
