I would agree that they are probably getting ready to raise cash. If things are ramping up or if they intend to pull off this merger they are going to have to get cash from somewhere. If handled properly this could be a very good thing. Hopefully before pulling the trigger on this they approach it with a handful of signed contracts.
There are still lots of ways this could go down, good and bad, but overall I am optimistic. I think industry momentum is building enough to overcome some management missteps. Time will tell, but at last, I think time is getting shorter.
