Lucky,"Why are there different escrow markers if 75/25 distribution is all the way through? Why didn't they just create one type of marker and then distribute the number of markers to preferred and common shareholders according to the 75/25 split. Why maintain separate markers if the the split is 75/25 all the way through?

Anyone have any logical reasoning behind the maintenance of separate escrow markers?"

IMO, It would be less confusing to both types of shareholders(P's/U's).
By using different escrow#'s for each, the owner would be able to see that the amount of shares they had EQUALS the amount of escrows now held.
If a person had 100,000U shares and found out they only held 3300 escrows, it would have been totally confusing to most.

That is my most logical reason for them doing it the way it is now.

I would say that one is for P's & one for uq as I have one 939ESC968 & 939ESC992 & give the number of shares held for each.
P,s get 75% & common 25%.

Because there are 3 types of preferred shares and commons, each being separate and bound by different agreements and value.

There were 3M shares of Wampq at $1000/sh (valued at $3B), 20M shares of Wamkq at $25/sh (valued at $0.5B) and $4B worth of Reits.

To meld all these pref's into one marker would prove to be much more difficult than the present course.

In addition to this each pref has an associated amount of interest to be paid, which further complicates the matter.

The status quo simplifies everything by taking a total of $7.5B worth of pref's and dividing it between each marker.

Take this example...if $10B is returned 0.75 X $10B = $7.5B goes to prefs and 0.25 X $10B = $2.5B goes to commons.

The pref share could then be divided between the prefs with simple ratios. It's actually simpler this way.

Wampq: $3B/$7.5B X $7.5B = $3B

Wamkq: $0.5B/$7.5B X $7.5B = $0.5B

Reits: $4B/$7.5B X $7.5B = $4B
