Ouch Blue...that's gotta hurt. In 2006 I sold a bunch of off-shore drillers that I bought in 1998, way, way, way to early. Walked away with a pretty decent profit but failed to be patient and missed the "jack-pot"...some of those drillers I bought between $.75-$2 a share...their all-time highs were in the $60-$100 range 10 years later. I have a feeling we will both have "redemption" within the next 3-4 years my friend!!!!

Hope you make up for AAPL. $15m for AVXL would be a nice target for me too. Would make up for a lot of strikeouts. As Mark Cuban says "you only have to be right once" ...if you are really right.

We all have learned quite a few lessons and I have been a participant in quite a few -

Selling way too early for a measly profit; buying high-selling low; holding till BK with hope that it will bounce back; buying more and more trying to average down the cost and losing more and more in the process; choosing the wrong one to buy between 2 stocks, come decision time; buying without doing any DD just like throwing darts in the dark hoping that it will stick (during the early early day of investing); stop losses getting taken out by MMs; heck! even my computer crashing when I wanted to buy/sell my options during that volatile time in 2008 crisis when many stocks were bobbing up and down like crazy by the minute - you can imagine how their options would be acting... etc.

But have had a few big winners and I am hoping for the BIG one with AVXL, with 200K shares - all paid for. (Noting beats buying shares by the boat load for a few pennies and then seeing through a reverse split not gone bad, rather the RS turning out to be a blessing in disguise and selling calls repeatedly to recover the cost when the pps goes up - not getting called is the icing on the cake.).

Hoping for the best - long and strong
