LuckyPanda, thank you for your diligence and fact finding. Now you are talking LARGE GREEN style of money. Now your thoughts on the distribution (see below) and how it happens. I have asked one of our esteemed posters, Tanj who is very knowledgeable and understands this case the following question, but so far Tanj has not answered this particular question.

There have been credible posters discussing whether the cap on former WaMu Preferred (WAMPQ-WAMKQ) is partially lifted until preferred are paid face value plus interest with the remaining estate value/ownership going to former WaMu (WAMUQ) common shareholders who released. This or whether the 75/25 split remains intact from the beginning of any potential Tranche Six equity payout all the way through to the end and/or actual owns the estate.

There are a few credible posters who believe that once former preferred receive face plus interest, then the remaining estate belongs only to the former WaMu common shareholders who released.

The Safe Harbor comment letter that was sent by WAMU to the FASB lines up almost perfectly with this scenario.

The only uncertainty that prevails is how much they're worth and when they will be returned/liquidated.

LP-- your numbers don't work.
$ 80 billion after 9 years, $ 140 billion after 30 years?
Three times as long, and less than twice as much money ???
Or is it somehow amortized vs interest accrued?
