JP - that would be sweet - a string of new PRs for awhile covering large corporate names as customers.

"""""""NeoMedia's product development pipeline is very much full."

Meaning excatly what? Could it be they have numerous Brand Partners (BP's) aka Proctor & Gamble, McDonalds, MTV, etc. lined up who are already directly involved in the launch of Qode?""""""

Well first of all they say their PRODUCT DEVELOPEMENT pipeline. What does their developement pipeline have to do with their distribution pipeline? I think your theory is just more of the unfounded speculation that goes on here building everyones hopes for nothing. If they said our DISTRIBUTION PIPELINE is very much full then I could buy into the hype.

From the PP today:

At 9:37 AM, September 05, 2006, Scott Shaffer said…

2d code readers are a dime a dozen.

Why Google?
A 2d code links a physical object to electronic content.

What/who does the best job of providing content for Internet searches?

XYZ could introduce a terrific 2d code reader and offer to create 2d codes for advertisers and consumers. They may even charge the advertisers for these codes.

But unless XYZ has a bigger reputation of being able to find relevant information AND NOT ADVERTISING, I see Google winning.

I envision Google offering a free 2d code application and using their own codes for mobile marketing/physical world connection.

Why would anyone pay for it?

Then Google starts selling keywords that allow direct connection function on the phone.

Between Google Talk, Wi-Fi and other soon-to-be released applications, simply type "Starbucks" on your phone to get a latte.

It will start by doing this

Right on JP!

Come on guys... think about it...

ANY product must begin somewhere. Qode MUST go through at least one real life test before they can allow it to be utilised by major clients. It's the only sensible thing to do!

If there are any glitches that need to be worked out, would you rather Neom sorts them out with Pepsi??? Or would you rather a local newspaper quietly do the job.

The fact that they PR'ed this is not so much to advertise the promotion itself, but to announce that this is the FIRST TIME in the US that 2d codes have been featured in an ad.

This is a little piece of history folks.

JP, I so much wish that a factual PR would inform us of something that DID happen (past tense) regarding received revenues and contracts.

Ahwwwwww....PRODUCT pipeline and revenue have nothing to do with each other. Rather - the product pipeline means cost for development. Any company with any "ideas" has more development on their plate than they can handle. It calls for "smart" management to set priorities and keep development costs in line. Past example is all the effort to make paperclick work on XXX number of phones. That is worthless unless it is followed by real customers.

Wish it were sales or revenue pipeline...but that is not the way I read it.
