It's also about chance, and the chance of DRNK going up instead of down, even if only briefly. At .0003 there's not much downside. But quite possible a pump could drive it up, wiping out shorts.

So the max potential gain of shorting is always 100%, and potential loss is always infinite, but the chances of gain/loss vary from situation to situation.

That's why shorting pennies is so rare or minimal. Not only does the mathematical end work against shorting, but the manipulative nature of pennies also works against it.
