I agree 100%. WAMU didn't fund all the loans they wrote and securitized with their own capital.

The funding would have been sourced from the Deposit Base and accessing cheap Federal Loans.

The full loan portfolio therefore, can't be claimed by the estate, but for the MBS's in which they retained an interest.
