Personally, I don't believe much in this short interest theory. The actual short interest in Lightwave is insignificant. As of the last reporting, March 31, it was 1723 shares... It is reported officially every 15 days.
Market Markers will make intraday shorts as they buy and sell, this is not like real short interest in a stock where there is an expectation of steady decline. This is typical trading. Buy-Short-Sell-Buy-Short-Sell. They make small gains up and down as they trade.
