I can't conclude that this is a negative comment on Brinkley's intelligence.
In fact, this whole setup wasn't that badly structured from her standpoint. She put none of her own money into it, and all of her promotional tours were on the ICNB dime.
When all is said and done, I suspect that the lack of due diligence from her "people" about ICNB and Southridge was largely because of the limited risk Brinkley had.
In fact, it was a win-win for her. Even if Belissima fails, she will have got her royalties, a couple of paid trips, and most important, publicity. For an ex-A-lister who is now famous more for being famous than anything else, publicity is the water of life.
