Talley The last thing I need is a Cardiologist that will bend to my wish's.
I don't believe any of the 8 Cardiologists I have met or who have treated me since 1986 ( regular Cardiologists , Interventional Cardiologists and Clinical Trial Cardiologists ) , would ever accept a "kick back " from any drug company.
I've found them all to be highly professional
While my Kaiser Cardiologist did not want to write a script he was fine with another Cardiologist ( a business client ) writing me a script for Vascepa .
Kaiser view was ''show me the R-IT data first ".
My Cardiologist / client view was " low / no risk and likely benefit "
As regards "blood tests to track progress " ...ha ....I've had over 70 blood tests since my first in 1986 ...that first by the way showed LDL cholesterol at 312 .
Now with a combination of max dose Crestor ( a Statin ), Zetia and Omegia Via EPA 500 ...my LDL is down to 101 .. ( blood test 3/21/2017 ).
Some would consider that progress ...at least those of us that think LDL levels matter ..:-)
