OK What they are doing is spin coating the polymers to a certain thickness, gluing on Silver or Gold electrodes, heating up the sample applying voltage which aligns the North and south Poles of the Chromophore so they work together with each other else they are just like pile of refrigerator magnets thrown on a table. They use the Teng method to measure/determine when to cool it back down and lock them in place, but IMO as we found out with AZ measurements Teng Menn wasn’t always accurate with polymers, Pretty sure the measurement methods have been rewritten. There are a lot of variables on each run, Back in the day it they stuck yellow post it notes on the wall, of course now they have all of this in a data base.
