[Donotunderstand]

I have come to realize that it is dangerous to believe "you understand". It is often at that point where you close your mind and close it when you are only partially right or flat out wrong

My donotunderstand is to suggest an effort to learn more and more different views based in fact. It is also to suggest I often have to hear an idea or theory or set of facts SEVERAL times to form an opinion

As you can see from posts (other than my soapbox ones) I do often ask - why? or how? when someone posts ABC ..... or DEF ... as I simply do not see the connection or the logic

I used to be a left leaning moderate - which fit well with being a Democratic (capital D) capitalist. As the middle or moderate in politics has drifted to the right - I find I am further to the left than I thought. This is something I include in my do not understand

For example - I thought it was 95% agreed that we should love our neighbor. That clearly is not the case

Then I thought live and let live was 95% agreed. Nope

I now have adopted what does appear to be a growing "phrase or slogan" in urban areas --- "Hate has no home here"

Hopefully we can all (95%) adopt that as the minimal good

(As in Doctor - first - do no harm)
