I don't think that has been the case in the past. The last reverse split has been at June 29 2015.

As you can see there hasn't been much volume/dumping shortly after the R/S at that time either. It took over 15 day's for the volume to pick up again.

A side observation may be in order -- it doesn't appear that there is much dumping of discounted shares at 2 cents a share. In the past the R/Ss were quickly met with dumping and decreased PPS. Something to be attentive to in the coming days.
