Skepticism is healthy, and very natural. There is no reason to suspect M3 is trying to create an "illusion", but since one may perceive it as a threat to one's investment, a cognitive bias creeps in. A few gentle points, Pineapple1:
1. M3 appears to be a typical very early biotech startup heroically trying its darnedest to develop a therapy for terrible diseases.
2. Its success is little threat to our investment in Anavex. There will be no magic bean for curing CNS diseases, which likely require combination therapies. This is not a zero-sum game.
3. As an AVXL investor, I of course root for our success. But anysuccessful therapies are vital for the lives of millions of people, so we should root for them all.

General comment (not directed to you): There are no industry conspiracies against an Anavex magic bean. And there is nothing gained in indulging in them or indulging in the belittling of other efforts to find CNS therapies and cures. We can disagree with approaches, but that is different than accusing them of illusions or deceptions. And deplorable when we bridle at that very accusation leveled unfairly at Anavex's science. Cognitive bias can lead to hypocrisy.
