The tide is out and shallow volume leaves day and days term trades without a reliable exit. The "death spiral" is in the short term liquidity. Betting the farm on plays of progressively escalating risks leads to increased losses. Aversion from those risks leads to lower volume. Shallow vanishing volume, SP hovering just under the insinuated apogee of the 50MA it IS the calm that comes before the storm. The numbers reflect the results of the marked shift away from short term Monte Carlo speculation positions towards longer buy/accumulate/hold positions. IMHO
